These requirements apply to the downloaded plug-in software.
Non-compliant browsers automatically see static "Server Image" maps
that do not require the plug-in.
Server Image maps can appear on almost any browser or computer.
You can force a Server Image map even for compliant browsers
by checking "Never use downloaded map plug-in" before pressing "Show Map".
Triscape Maps requires a Pentium-class PC with at least 32MB of memory
running Microsoft Windows 95, 98, ME, NT or 2000.
Installation uses less than 1MB of disk space.
Recommended
Windows 98, ME or newer versions of Windows NT/2000 (with Microsoft's newer
Internet drivers as shipped with Internet Explorer 4) are recommended.
A Pentium MMX compatible processor with at least 64MB of memory
is recommended. Pentium II or newer processors (or the equivalent)
are best. However Triscape Maps can be run on older 486 or Pentium
systems without MMX at the expense of animation quality and speed.
Additional memory beyond the 32MB minimum allows Triscape Maps to show
more pages concurrently.
A Super VGA display (at least 800x600) with High Color (16 bits per pixel)
is recommended. If possible, set your display for 1024x768 with High Color.
Browser
All editions of Triscape Maps include a Plug-In Client
that adds into most browsers.
The Plug-In installs with browsers that support
Microsoft ActiveX or Netscape Plug-In components.
Triscape Maps Plug-Ins are compatible with Internet Explorer versions 3 and up
and with Netscape versions 2 and up.
The Plug-In can automatically install itself with
Internet Explorer versions 4 and up or with Netscape version 4 only.
For other versions, you must Download the and run the
Maps Plug-In manual installation.
