In addition, following are some technical features which we believe
give FxFoto an edge over competitive products:
- FxFoto is unusually small, with less than a 2 megabyte download size and
just few small program and data files. This means that FxFoto downloads,
installs and starts up with amazing speed. Yet FxFoto supports a large
number of features. Because Triscape creates software largely from
scratch, we can avoid large library DLL's which vastly increase the size
and startup time required for most other packages.
- FxFoto is unusually fast.
It is based on the high-performance Triscape Graphics Engine.
FxFoto is capable of redrawing bitmaps so quickly that it allows
for animated zooming and panning. The toolbar joystick control and
available in-window mouse navigation capabilities allow users to
change the zoom level and/or scroll to a new right-pane viewpoint
much more easily and fluidly than in other Windows software.
- FxFoto provides exceptional freedom for creating annotated photos and
multi-photo collages. Our fluid right-pane collage window makes it easy
to work at any desired vantage point to build complex collages
with almost any imaginable layout.
- FxFoto provides exceptional power for creating slide shows.
Because FxFoto uses a small free viewer (570KB download),
it can create great slide show entrance and exit effects.
Plus photos or annotation text can be made "clickable" to automatically
move to a different viewpoint or bring up another web page.
There can even be information stored in multi-line pop-up text
messages that appear when the mouse hovers over photos.
- The Deluxe Edition can save slide show presentations in
compact encapsulated files, which can be easily e-mailed to anyone with
the free viewer. And each slide can be a complex multi-photo collage.
Better yet, the free FxFoto Viewer is also an
Internet Explorer plug-in. This allows authors to publish slide shows to
the web such that browsers automatically download and install the free viewer
when first needed.
